Building Innovative Solutions for the AIDS Crisis

Emmanuel

Chronic diarrhea had left Emmanuel underweight and weak when he joined our Arm’s Reach Care program. POL provided treatment and nutrition during weekly home visits. When his mother disclosed Emmanuel’s HIV positive status, we helped her obtain ARV treatment for him. Emmanuel’s health has stabilized; his mother uses her training from our program to detect and treat infections before they escalate and to administer ARV treatments properly.

Arm's Reach Care treats children while building community health knowledge to support strategically positioned health workers.
