June 2021 - Our Zambian Family Is Growing

Dear friend: Happy Summer! However, it is the beginning of winter in Zambia and we are thinking of vulnerable communities who face food insecurity, illness, and have insufficient information about HIV. In Zambia, as everywhere else, COVID aggravated the situation due to loss of livelihoods and increased uncertainty. To support these communities, 75 new children were added to our pediatric HIV care program last month bringing the total to 500 children receiving food, medicines and health care services. Families of new children were provided with training in basic nursing and in caring for an HIV+ child. We are confident that the new children will improve in health in the next few months, and families will be more knowledgeable about HIV and COVID prevention.
All program activities are designed to keep children in school and families more self-reliant in taking care of their health. Please donate generously so we can continue to improve the quality of life of HIV+ orphans and vulnerable children. Every dollar counts. And, as always, 100% of your donations go towards programs and no part is used for overheads.
