Within Arms' Reach is a multi-tiered, community-based system of care for children living with HIV. Before a child is enrolled, family members are provided with intensive training in caring for an HIV+ child and in prevention of HIV.

In our last newsletter, we shared the exciting news that Power of Love grew by adding 50 HIV+ children to our pediatric HIV care program. Every child in the program receives a comprehensive package of care that includes food, medicines and health care services until they turn 18 years of age.

Thanks to your generous support, we have been able to continually expand our program to improve the lives of several hundred children and families impacted by HIV, AIDS, and malaria in Zambia. From weekly checkups to vital healthcare services, the children 200+ within our program receive the support they need to achieve stable health and attend school.
Power of Love's pediatric HIV care program continues to improve the lives of several hundred children and families impacted by HIV, AIDS, and malaria in Zambia. The vision behind this program is to strengthen women and grandmothers so they can take care of their children and sick family members at home.
While developing our pediatric HIV care program in 2004, one thing we repeatedly asked ourselves was how we could make an impact beyond simple handouts. We wanted our program to do more than provide food and medicine to HIV positive children, services provided by countless charities.
