As Mother's day draws near, we are thinking of mothers/grandmas/ aunts in Africa who are finding it difficult to buy food and medicines due to higher prices and loss of livelihood due to COVID. Most women in vulnerable communities, are taking care of multiple children/grandchildren, have no access to credit, and few opportunities to earn an income.

In India, thousands of families living in disadvantaged neighborhoods are struggling to hold on to their livelihood and stay healthy. According to experts, the current surge in COVID infections has the potential to push vulnerable families back into poverty and ill health.
