Who attends "Safe Park"?
Dear Friend: Happy July! Our teams in San Diego and in Lusaka are working to eradicate malaria in Zambia. Malaria, which is both preventable and curable, is still a public health challenge as 88% of the Zambian population is at risk. Malaria could be fatal for children under five years of age as their immune systems are not yet fully developed.
Dear Friend: Hope you are having a fun summer! Our partner Jagruthi, continues to provide high quality health care and education to several hundred children of sex workers. Most children are undernourished, have access to little or no medical care, and live in unsanitary environments in and around Bengaluru, India. They need professional medical care, counseling, and education.
Dear Power of Love Friend: Happy June! Last month, we held a malaria prevention event in our community. Malaria is still a public health challenge in Zambia as it is endemic across all ten provinces and more than 16 million or 88% of the population is at risk. The event was attended by representatives from churches, community organizations, government health clinics, and residents.
