As a result of your generosity and support, we will be adding 50 HIV positive children to our pediatric HIV care program this month. The children have been identified and will be receiving food, medicine, and a package of life saving health care services until they turn eighteen.

A Young Star - Penny
In 2014, we added a new element to our pediatric HIV care program. This new program is called “Young Stars”. The goal of this program is to help a vulnerable child stay healthy and achieve his/her dream of enrolling in an University after high school. The program is designed to help the child graduate middle school and high school and possibly enroll at the University.

Malaria Prevention Day 2014
We would like to say a big “thank you” for supporting Power of Love Foundation’s Project Mosquito Nets program. With your support, we were able to provide 2000 long lasting insecticide treated nets to women and children vulnerable to malaria in Zambia in the summer of 2014.
Business Training and Micro Loans Provided to New Women Entrepreneurs in Zambia
In June 2014, 22 new women were identified as candidates for our Microfinance program and have been provided with the training and loans needed to start small businesses. Alka Subramanian and Sandra Loeb from the Power of Love Foundation participated in the loan disbursement activities held on June 12.

From weekly checkups to vital healthcare services, the children 200+ within our program receive the support they need to achieve stable health and attend school.
Achievements of our Safe Parks Program in 2013/2014
“Safe Parks” is a program that is free and open to all children in the community that addresses some of the challenges faced by children living in the Matero compound in Lusaka, Zambia. The Matero compound is one of the largest and poorest compounds in Lusaka, Zambia, with an unemployment rate upwards of 65% and a high incidence of HIV and AIDS and malaria.
Impact of POL's Microloan Program in 2013
Power of Love’s micro loans program now has 240 women enrolled and the majority of them are running successful businesses. The businesses chosen by the women are quite diverse and range from groceries (mealie meal - a Zambian staple, cooking oil, rice, sugar, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and beans), to dressed chicken, dried fish, charcoal, baby blankets, books, restaurant, and a salon etc.
